Emerald Isle, NC (January 19, 2022) – The Carteret County Tourism Development Authority will be the title sponsor in the long-awaited return of the Emerald Isle St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The festival will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Emerald Plantation, 8700 Emerald Drive, in Emerald Isle from 9 am – 6pm.

“As a former member but as a member when it was approved I am most thankful to the TDA for their support of this iconic event.” said former Emerald Isle Mayor Eddie Barber. He went on to say “It is a great way to kick off the season not only for Emerald Isle but for our country as well!”

The event features live musical performances, a beer garden, arts and craft vendors, amusement rides. New this year will be a sports demonstration by Chain Reaction Sports and professional BMX rider Alex Johann, sponsored by Buy the Beach Realty and South Swell Surf festival.

Strollers will be allowed in the main festival area. However, as in the past, they will not be allowed inside the main tent. As a safety precaution, pets are also prohibited in all areas of the festival.

Saturday, in the main tent, attendees over 21 with valid identification, can enjoy the beer garden starting at 10 am with proceeds benefiting the Emerald Isle Business Association and its community endeavors. Performances by The Mad Fiddler, Spare Change, Ashley Larue Band, My Three Kilts, Monika James Band, and Heartstop will take place in the main tent throughout the day.

He added, “This event coming back to the community is something everyone has been waiting for.”
